Pollution Of Field In Pissurlem: High Court Issues Notice To Govt And GSPCB

Pissurlem: Justice M.S.Sonak of the Bombay High Court at Goa today directed that notices be issued to the Goa Government and Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) over the failure to act against the three polluting industrial units unlawfully discharging toxic waste water causing loss and damage to a farmer's field and plantation at Pissurlem in Satari.  The GSPCB has been directed to conduct an inspection and submit its report to the court on 7 June.
The farmer Manohar Mahadev Parab represented by Adv. Aires Rodrigues today submitted before the High Court that the authorities despite various complaints had failed to act against the three polluting industrial units at the Pissurlem Industrial Estate located adjacent to his property where he was carrying out paddy cultivation and other plantation. 
Manohar Parab has in his petition submitted before the High Court that the three companies M/s Esteem Industries Pvt Ltd, M/S Vic Industries Pvt Ltd and Ambey Metallic Ltd have been in violation of law discharging toxic and untreated waste water in the stream which is entering his field and rendering great loss as he is unable to carrying out any cultivation.
Manohar Parab has further submitted that he is being deprived of his right to livelihood and his only source of income on account of the damage to his crops.
Manohar Parab has prayed that the three polluting industrial units be directed to compensate him for his loss of land and cultivation due to the illegal discharge of untreated waste water and to also direct the units to suspend operation while also penalizing them for non-compliance of the Environmental rules and regulations.

Congress baby (Mopa Airport) nourished by BJP is coming very soon, where all greenery (oxygen) will be destroyed and Pollution will increased in many folds. Also Pollution will increase all over Goa with illegal Mining & with illegal Coal that all Goans has to run for the protection to the neighbouring states of India or abroad! Those who will remain in Goa will have to die very soon with pollution related diseases.
