Thursday - Apr 6, 2017
Panjim: Former Deputy Speaker Vishnu Surya Wagh is back home after seven months in hospital in Mumbai. He arrived on Wednesday afternoon at his temporary residence at Bambolim. Persons close to Wagh said he is quite well and can speak and recognize people. However, the exact details of his health condition were not revealed by relatives.
Wagh was hospitalised in August 2016 after he suffered a cardiac arrest. He was initially treated at the Goa Medical College in Bambolim and later shifted to a private hospital in Mumbai where he was admitted for almost seven months, and underwent multiple surgeries.
Wagh, a known writer and artiste, was elected form St Andre constituency in March 2012 on a BJP ticket. Besides being the Deputy Speaker, he was also holding charge of the Entertainment Society of Goa and Kala Academy. His friends and well-wishers had started visiting his residence on Wednesday after they learnt that he was returning. – Herald

This Marathi Wagh should be brought in by being sworn into the BJP government. He is prominent figure that is missing. He could be brought back as Deputy Speaker by the same door that Parrikar has been brought with no votes in his hand.
