Panjim: The children's court sentenced Ramesh Lamani, a resident of Baina, Vasco, to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 10 years and directed him to pay a fine of 2 lakh for raping a 7-year-old girl in 2005. In course of the trial, in June 2009, the survivor was found to be HIV positive. The accused tested negative for the lethal disease. The test on the survivor's family was also negative
