Narendra Modi’s U Turn – by Aires Rodrigues
Saturday - Jul 9, 2016
After usurping power in May 2014, Narendra Modi had amongst other things vowed that his would be a compact and sleak government. But with the recent cabinet expansion he seems to have kissed goodbye to his promise of “minimum government, maximum governance”. He now has a fleet of 77 ministers which almost equals the strength of the previous Congress led UPA government
India’s Big Experiment With Referendum: When Goa Did Not Go With Bombay – by ET Bureau
Friday - Jul 8, 2016
With Goa voting against the merger, either the barber became too morose to be violent or the regular rhythm of village life returned. "When the final result was announced today they went to him with unshaven faces and overgrown hair," press wrote. "The bitter feelings of the past few days had been wiped out."
The Double Standard Of BJP Government – by Nixon Fernandes
Friday - Jul 8, 2016
The BJP Goa government can be very well termed as the anti-goan government. of Goa and this is all been proved more than once. The Goa government. not only fooled Goans in believing that it's for Goa but also cheated Goans by allowing a new casino in Goan waters when it had clearly said it will stop all casinos if it comes to power. Parsekar continued from where Parrikar had left.

This current BJP government came to power solely coz of minority votes in many constituencies but after winning they are taking the same minorities for granted. Minorities are harassed and the latest victim is IG Prisons Elvis Gomes who although has taken VRS but the government. is harassing him by playing dirty politics. There are two set of laws that exists in Goa if you’re from minority than be prepared to face any allegations even be ready to go to jail, whereas if you happen to be CMs brother-in-law than you are Scott free no matter even if you’re caught Red handed by ACB, this exposes double standard of the BJP and the communal mind of the RSS
GFSD & GRE Condemns The Anti-People Policies Of BJP – by Diana Pinto
Thursday - Jul 7, 2016
GOANS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (GFSD) and Goenchea Ramponkaranchea Ekvott (GRE), condemned the anti-people policies of the BJP state government and warned the people of Goa that the destruction of its traditional communities was a well calculated move designed to remove the last bastion of defence against the ongoing and irreversible destruction of Goa’s cherished ecology, environment, economy and way of life. GFSD & GRE lamented that in recent years, these traditional communities have been facing an increasingly lonely fight in their quest to safeguard their interests and their livelihoods, which are deeply dependent and entwined with the natural ecology and the environment.

GFSD & GRE went on to draw attention to the ongoing struggle of Goa’s Ramponkar community, who in fighting for their traditional livelihoods are also making a heroic stand to safeguard Goa’s vulnerable coastline and precious marine biodiversity, at great costs to themselves

The goings-on in this 38-minute long video, shot on a spy cam, may have just placed a section of the media in Goa on a new summit of spectacular depravity. The video, shot sometime in early 2015, shows how a leading media house in Goa promises to stop ‘negative’ reportage and instead write

While the Government Employees Association has been vehemently opposing any extension in service, the Goa Government has now secured an unwarranted three month extension for its Chief Secretary R.K.Srivastava who was due to retire on June 30th.
