Propose Independent Sovereign Kashmir--No Plans In This Revolution Are – by A. Veronica Fernandes, Candolim
Saturday - Sep 24, 2016
The recent Pakistani terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir at Uri where 19 Indian Army Jawans were killed, makes me to realise that India at least as a matured nation must start a strong move without feeling hurt, to make sacrifice for attaining a lasting peace in this turbulent secto
Salute To Brave Hero's Of India – by Nixon Fernandes
Friday - Sep 23, 2016
Indian Army, Navy and Air-force has the metal to protect its borders and so also our brave soldiers who died and are dying every day for the country. But does the political class in India has the metal to protect each and every soldier of the country?
Our Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar Is Giving Threats To Villagers – by Stephen Dias, Dona Paula
Thursday - Sep 22, 2016
Our Chief Minister LAXMIKANT PARSEKAR is giving threats to villagers and telling them not to worry about the radiation on cell towers. This is not acceptable to the villagers as well as the Gram Sabba and the Panchayat members from South Goa. In view of importance of international world Brick

It is wrong on the part of ECI to make the Representation Act and Election Rules applicable to Goans who obtained Portuguese Passports and delete their names from the election rolls. The Goans born before December 19, 1961 are already Portuguese citizens by birth and after the Indian Military took over Goa on Dec 19th 1961, they became Indian Citizens by right, as such they should not lose their voting right
Amity Campaign In Goa – by Claude Alvares
Wednesday - Sep 21, 2016
I warmly and enthusiastically support the Peace and Humanity Campaign. Only if an all-Goa committee comprised of people from various faith and religion groups is assembled and a campaign carried out, will the social fabric of Goa survive. In my opinion, more effort should be spent on organising events
George Menezes, A Multi-Faceted Man – by Alexyz
Tuesday - Sep 20, 2016
Sunday, September 11, the over 400-year-old Portuguese church of St Andrew's Bandra, Mumbai, was overflowing with people from all walks of life, from all over Mumbai and even from Goa. They had come to pay homage to 87-year-old George Menezes who had passed away on Friday after a brief illness at his home not too far away from the church
Scary Political Situation In Goa – by Savio Pinto
Tuesday - Sep 20, 2016
At last we have a scenario evolving from the political parties and some of their factions in Goa whereby we can certainly say that it will help only those who will help unto themselves. After experiencing the Congress for so long, the BJP had been given the reins on a platter who failed miserably to
Is Congress R.I.P.? – by A. Veronica Fernandes, Candolim
Monday - Sep 19, 2016
According to the latest news in Goa’s political scenario, the present Congress MLA from Cumbharjua, Pandurang Madkaikar is likely to defect to MGP though according to him he also received offer from BJP. The way he speaks of receiving offers it looks these offers are from soccer clubs where players are free to join any club of their choice. Madkaikar speaks as if he is irresponsible Congressman having joined Congress only to fulfil his personal ambition of becoming a Minister and since he is out of Power during one full term he feels frustrated like many Congressmen because they are fake Congressmen joined Congress Party only to enhance their personal ambitions.

However, I have to admire Madkaikar for speaking his mind rightly and boldly when he said “The Congress leadership is in a stage of hibernation and does not want to move. They have no plan to tackle the opposition and form the government”
No Goan Land Will Be Given To Non-Goans – by Patrick de Souza
Saturday - Sep 17, 2016
AAP had a great chance at demonstrating that they stand for Goans, by looking at issues that concern us - Goans. And one of the major and highly sensitive issue to us, besides unemployment, overseas migration, mining, MOI and official language status, is the immediate threat to our identity
Freedom In A King-dom’? – Marita Fernandes
Friday - Sep 16, 2016
They say my country is free. Then why are some chained? She longs to wander around the village on the carpet, green. But they say she’s grown into a woman. And has to fear and hide the prowling wolves. She need not be educated more than my son. Cause she has to be packed off to her husband in a few years. She’s free from education?
