PANJIM: The Aam Aurat Admi against Gambling (AAAAG) has demanded that the government should get rid of all casinos, including six offshore casinos within four months. "We demand that you (chief minister Manohar Parrikar) rid Goa of all the casinos including the six offshore casinos, which are presently anchored in river Mandovi in four months and not four years," AAAAG said in the memorandum submitted to Parrikar.

PANJIM: One prisoner died and 128 others complained of diarrhoea and vomiting at Aguada jail on Friday morning. Nine other prisoners at the Mapusa judicial lockup also complained of food poisoning. Mahadev Gaonkar, who was undergoing a six-year imprisonment term at central jail, Aguada, succumbed while undergoing treatment at Candolim primary health centre (PHC).

PANJIM: Goa government has decided to recommend a CBI probe into the alleged rape of a seven-year-old girl inside DEEPVIHAR school toilet in January.
