MARATHI AS OFFICIAL LANGUAGE OF GOA WILL BE AT THE COST OF LIFE by Nisser Dias
Friday - Mar 1, 2013
With the BJP in power for almost a year now Marathi protagonists have started asserting themselves and this was very much evident last week when a group of Marathiwadis demanded that Marathi be made the official language of the state. This might just be a call but the seed to destroy Konkani language gradually
AMI SOGLE GOENKAR? DANGER AHEAD WAKE UP GOANS by Menino Fernandes
Thursday - Feb 28, 2013
Digambar Kamat was absolutely right and he spoke the truth when he said that he did not need the votes of the Goans. He said it with confidence as he knew that the stocked vote bank in his constituency was of non Goans or the migrants. This vote bank has been stashed in every nook and corner of Margao widely out
PILGRIMS SAY GOODBYE TO THEIR POPE by Sally Arthy, in Rome
Thursday - Feb 28, 2013
They came in their thousands to say goodbye to their Pope. National flags from around the world were held aloft in St Peter's Square as a reminder of the reach of the Catholic Church. Banners, too, were held up, thanking the Pope for his service. Some pilgrims had made the journey to Rome especially for Wednesday's

Do not give 60 lease renewals to one company, environmental and anit-mining activist Ramesh Gauns, advised the government. Restrict leases to four or five leases for one company. More control would be possible then. The mining department will just not have the staff to monitor the workings of so many leases, if the mining companies are up to their old tricks

AN IMBECILE DILIP PARULEKAR NEEDS A BRAIN TRANSPLANT by Menino Fernandes
Wednesday - Feb 27, 2013
Hallucinating has been his favourite time pass. He does need an urgent brain transplant which would eventually replace his half baked brains, a nitwit that he is. This is where education counts in when one boards high level graphic chairs. Dilip Parulekar is a very mediocre and sub standard product

I disagree with a merger. MSSG must not merge with Alina Saldanha’s GFMSS as it is sponsored by Manohar Parrikar and both of them cannot be trusted. It is all about CONTROL. Politicians want to take control. Parrikar wants to CONTROL everything. It is high time he knows he was NOT put in place to be a dictator. MSSG can work independently and will be far more effective
THE SILENCE IS SOMETIMES DEAFENING by Adv. Aires Rodrigues

The 7 year old young Vasco girl was brutally raped on 14th of January in the school premises. For reasons now known to all the so called Guardians of law have chosen to turn a blind eye. However what should disturb us more is the rank silence and indifference on the issue by the Church whose Roman Catholic child

Following clarification is being issued for information of general public in view of misinformation being deliberately spread. Goa’s Movement For Special Status (GMFSS) was founded by Late Matanhy Saldanha on 5th October, 2008, of which, I am a founder member and office bearer.
RESTORING THE LOST GLORY by Nisser Dias
Thursday - Feb 21, 2013
It is indeed a nostalgic moment for Goa and its people that the 16th century Reis Magos fort has been renovated and restored. I really cannot say whether it has been restored to its past glory but the very fact that it has been restored under the guidance and supervision of our own renowned architect Gerald da
