Our Self-Esteem And Greed Will Hurt Us – by Jose Maria Miranda
Tuesday - Feb 14, 2017
The ballot boxes are sealed and so is the fate of many aspirants to Goa Assembly seat. We need to wait, for another month, with bated breath, to know who we have chosen to rule us for the next five years. Not that the choice will be ours or of the majority of the electorate. As we know

Goa Will Win – by Aires Rodrigues
Thursday - Feb 9, 2017
After having patiently suffered and silently endured the BJP government’s rampant corruption, nepotism and arrogance over the last five long years, the people of Goa at the Assembly elections held on 4th February have silently, peacefully but confidently voted for a better Goa. Of the 251 candidates who contested these elections only 40 will win. On 11th March after those votes
Churchill Is Right And Practical – by Stephen Dias, Dona Paula
Thursday - Feb 9, 2017
I agree that Churchil Alemao is more practical in this matter, than any other politicians who gave their views, because he is aware such system can fail. He prefers a locking system by an individual candidate. Although the Election Commission made an elaborate arrangement for 3-tier system but
Fr Antonio Lourenco Fernandes Has Brought Utter Dishonour To Our Ribandar Church – by Aires Rodrigues

Sunday - Feb 5, 2017
For these Goa Assembly elections, we all know that none of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidates will win as they are all funded, fuelled and fielded by the now cash rich BJP only to split votes. That AAP has been aggressively campaigning in Goa over the last six months with not a single Goan volunteer but thousands of them brought from various parts of India is another issu

Fifty years ago, Goans freed themselves from the clutches of those who shamelessly wanted to turn this land of ours into a colony of Maharashtra. Yet, vestiges of this slave mentality remained and keep cropping up regularly by raising the bogey of Marathi as official language, which it undeservedly nearly is, and by attempting to destroy Goa’s unique identity and character.

Today, all that we valiantly fought for is steadily sought to be erased and the verdict indirectly reversed by language fanatics and crooked politicians and parties who wish to build vote banks and minimize the influence of the Goan vote.
