It clearly shows that the Government of Goa and its Ministry of Fisheries are total failures. All the fish caught along the Goan coast belongs to Goans as their resources and should remain for the benefit of ordinary Goans like iron ore has to be. Ministry of fisheries should make sure that the fish caught along the Goan coast lands in Goa and outside fishing vessels are not allowed to fish
THIS IS THE REAL MANOHAR PARRIKAR by Aires Rodrigues
Tuesday - Mar 11, 2014
Mr. Chief Minister, you could not have been doing this even in your bathroom or bedroom. It is sad that the highly educated Manohar Parrikar was digging so deep in public. Did you learn this at IIT, Sir? It is only a testimony that however highly educated one may be, the etiquette of public behaviour is

In a very devious move, the State Government has hurriedly bulldozed through the Goa (Abolition of Proprietorships, Titles and Grants of Lands) Bill, 2014. While claiming it is to sort out the Mayem imbroglio, the devious intent is clear. Firstly, the term "proprietor" is defined thus: (o) “proprietor” includes a person who holds land granted to him or any of his predecessors-in-interest by the erstwhile Portuguese
BJP IN POWER THANKS TO CONGRESS by Jose Maria Miranda
Saturday - Mar 8, 2014
Time and again, BJP Ministers and functionaries keep lamenting about the past Congress misrule or lack of governance. Isn’t it well known or do we need to keep repeatedly reminding these gentlemen that these were the very reasons why the BJP was brought to power to rectify and undo the blunders?
A PANCHANAMA OF MANOHAR PARRIKAR’S TWO YEARS AS CHIEF MINISTER by Aires Rodrigues
Saturday - Mar 8, 2014
Election promises cannot be like China-make goods which come neither with a guarantee nor warranty. As the Manohar Parrikar Government completes two years in office it is time that we, the people, audit its performance. This government has to be assessed as per the ‘Goa Vision Document 2012-2017’, released by the Bharatiya Janata Party in the run-up to the March 2012 Assembly
AMBANI CLOSE TO CONGRESS & BJP by Jose Maria Miranda

In a letter addressed to Mukesh Ambani, Arvind Kejriwal has slammed him for sending notices to some TV channels for airing his and Prashant Bhushan’s Press Conferences on gas pricing as also on his and his friends’ and relatives’ Swiss Bank accounts, as per list received by the Govt. of India. Kejriwal felt that the defamation ought to have been against him and Bhushan
GOA: PARRIKAR BUDGET CUTS WIDE SWATH FOR RSS, RAMDEV ENTRY by Mayabhushan Nagvenkar
Friday - Mar 7, 2014
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev and the RSS might as well have taken a joint byline with Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar for the budget presented in the state legislative assembly on Wednesday. The deficit budget presented by Parrikar, also the finance minister, virtually lays out the red carpet for organisations
WHAT’S THE HURRY? by Peter Fernandes
Friday - Mar 7, 2014
G.K. Chesterton once said, “One of the great disadvantages of hurry is that it takes such a long time.” It is laughable that the government of Goa is suddenly feeling the plight of the people of Goa, especially those affected in the mining sector, and apparently, officials feel that time is running out
MR CM, WE CAN READ BETWEEN THE LINES by Aires Rodrigues
Thursday - Mar 6, 2014
Yet another flawed moved by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. His recent announcement that non-Goan women who intend to seek government employment and are married to Goans, would now require a mere two-year domicile instead of 15 years has to be strongly condemned
Thursday - Mar 6, 2014
The movement for Special Status for Goa (MSSG) has read with great concern that the Government intends naming the Pedem Sports Complex at Mapusa after late Dayanand Bandodkar. This news follows on the heels of another, namely, that his statue was to be unveiled in the Assembly of Goa by yourself
