With the former Attorney General of India Soli Sorabjee tipped to be the next Governor of Karnataka, it may be more ‘Ache Din’ for the nefarious Casino lobby. Soli Sorabjee is the father-in-law of business tycoon Jaydev Mody who leads the Casino business. Soli Sorabjee would do Goa and Goans a service by moving his son-in-law’s Casinos into the Karnataka waters to save Goa from all those ill effects

B V WANCHOO WAS A VERY DIGNIFIED GOVERNOR by Aires Rodrigues
Saturday - Jul 5, 2014
Goa will miss BV Wanchoo who has very distinguishably done justice as a very proactive Governor over the last two years. Beginning with Nakul Sen having interacted with every Governor since 1972, without any shadow of doubt BV Wanchoo clearly outstands them all. He was extremely people friendly and though very knowledgeable was always ready to learn. A gentleman to the core. Always gave everyone a very patient and polite hearing with an open mind unlike many of his predecessors including Kidar Nath Sahani

I happened to ask my Salcette friend as to why water logging takes place at the railway underpass at Comba-Margao. Guess what he answered that it is well known nowadays in Goa that Fudhin Dhavalpi Dhavlikar instead of attending to his Goa PWD(peoples worst devil) department and installing pumps to flush out water from the underpass has been busy

I have come to understand from some girls that they are thinking to start wearing short dresses in their offices instead of long ones just to defy Mr Dhavlikar statement on them visiting clubs, pubs and beaches on miniskirts. One of the office in Miramar which is a private office already started dressing and shown their solidarity of wearing short dresses and that they now expect other offices

WOULD NEVER BE COWED DOWN OR INTIMIDATED BY SUCH THREATS by Aires Rodrigues
Tuesday - Jul 1, 2014
Some friends have expressed concern that I may be now physically attacked by Goa’s Advocate General Atmaram Nadkarni for exposing his blatant misdeeds. Knowing his erratic temperament, arrogance and awfully revengeful attitude it will come as no surprise.
AAP MUST GEAR UP AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO BJP & CONGRESS by Jose Maria Miranda
Monday - Jun 30, 2014
It was indeed a smashing victory for the BJP – not entirely unexpected, but certainly to many, like me, not much desirable. While one must accept gracefully this massive majority of seats, the fact still remains that not even third of the voters opted for the Party. With a comfortable majority of its own
JUDGES MUST BE ABOVE BOARD by Aires Rodrigues
Sunday - Jun 29, 2014
The Supreme Court of India is the last door we can knock for Justice. It has to be ensured that judicial accountability is maintained at all times with the judges and retired judges of the Supreme Court and even the High Court’s strictly conforming to the highest standards of uprightness and integrity
