VASCO: Secretary of Goa Barge Owners Association William D’Costa has called upon Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping Krishan Pal Gujjar to provide financial assistance to the barge industry in the state. The aid would help the members of the GBOA to close their loan accounts and, in turn, it would ensure survival of the barge industry in the state, he said.

VASCO: In a deadly clash between two groups, two youths were stabbed by a group of five youngsters at Mangor Hill in Vasco late Sunday evening. Two of the five assailants have been arrested. The clash pulled a huge crowd to Mangor Hill, and the police had to resort to mild lathi-charge to disperse the crowd.
