The Six Month Jail Will Be A Mixed Basket For Mickky Pacheco by Aires Rodrigues
Friday - Apr 3, 2015
Goa’s flashy Rural Development Minister Francisco Xavier Pacheco alias Mickky Pacheco has finally resigned. If he had the faintest respect for the law he would have tendered his resignation on March 30th afternoon itself when the Supreme Court summarily spurned his petition while upholding the High Court order sentencing him to six months behind bars

It is very sad and hurtful that the man 'representing' one of the most liberal states of the country has gone to the low of objectifying women and using such derogatory remarks. Sole purpose of women entering the world is not to remain fair and get a husband but beyond th
Tiatro ‘Devachem Devak Diat’ by A. Veronica Fernandes, Candolim
Friday - Apr 3, 2015
On 1st of this month, Wednesday, I saw the Tiatro “Devachem Devak Diat” in Panjim at Kala Academy A/C Hall, written and directed by Fr. Nevell Gracias. This was the golden Jubilee Show attended by special invitee as Chief Guest the “Vigar Geral” of Goa Fr. Jose Remedios Fernandes. Otherwise, it was attended by a less number of attendees and one could easily notice very many empty chairs in the hall

The Supreme Court of India earlier this week on March 30th dismissed the appeal filed by Goa’s flamboyant Rural Development Minister Francisco Xavier Pacheco alias Mickky Pacheco
The Great Tiatrist ‘Pradeep Naik’ by A. Veronica Fernandes, Candolim, Goa.
Thursday - Apr 2, 2015
One of the best Konkani Stage artistes one can find now is none other than Pradeep Naik from Carambolim Goa. His character roles in different directors’ Tiatros create very impressive image of his Tiatro art though because of his busy work schedule at Art and Culture Dept., Government of Goa at Panjim where he is employed, he acts only in limited Tiatros especially after studying the suitability of the roles he is offered by the directors. The recent magnificent role he played of a father in the Tiatro “Pai” of Comedian Agostinho is one of the most memorable roles he played in his career so far, as at least I have noticed. Precisely because of this extraordinary feat he was awarded the best actor award.

According to Pradeep Naik, it was by accident that he entered the Konkani Tiatro Stage starting from the very early age when he was schooling at Morjim but now he enjoys every bit of it

The recent directive on the dress code to be adopted by the art and culture department gets my full support as the government is banning trousers with multi pockets, zero tolerance to corruption is the BJP’s slogan and so it makes sense, complete sense

The incident that took place on the dawn of 14th March 2015 at our Jesus and Mary Ranaghat convent is unfortunate and we strongly condemn it. The violation of the dignity of a woman in this incident is against our culture and tradition, but I plead with you, let us not focus on this one issue, let us bring to the fore the many voiceless and illiterate women and children in various parts of our beloved country
A Marriage Of Convenience by Jose Maria Miranda
Tuesday - Mar 31, 2015
A very queer combination took place in Jammu & Kashmir recently, where two political parties with ideologies poles apart arranged a marriage of convenience – the BJP ever keen in making its debut as ruler in J& K, and the PDP looking for power and also development, which they perhaps rightly felt that it could be denied if there was no alliance with the party in power at the Centre
Crisis In AAP by A. Veronica Fernandes, Candolim
Tuesday - Mar 31, 2015
It is with deep regret and chagrin that I write this piece to indicate my total disappointment over the crisis AAP is undergoing now in Delhi. When AAP came into existence we had great hope that it will spread its wings not only in Delhi but also all over India to give clean and upright administration as per

In Goa this may be the last Easter lunch to relish with a Beef steak. Time to mercilessly slaughter the BJP. Far from those promised ‘Achhe’ din, their devious agenda is now clearly unfolding and unraveling. When will our gagged and bonded altar boys open their eyes?
