Satish Sonak’s Vision And Mission For Goa Must Live On – by Aires Rodrigues
Monday - Apr 10, 2017
Satish Sonak was a truly remarkable gentleman who cared about his fellow human beings, championing the causes particularly of the less privileged and disadvantaged strata of society around him, willing to stand up and dared to be counted where others feared to venture. A true friend and companion of
What Is Goenkarpon? – by Datta Naik
Sunday - Apr 9, 2017
Goa Forward has brought forward this word Goenkarpon and Manohar Parrikar, whom I would call as Chief Minister of North Goa since most of the Ministers in his cabinet are from North Goa has borrowed this word Goenkarponn from Vijay Sardessai, Leader of Goa Forward. However, the exact meaning of the word Goenkarponn is not clear. The politicians have vested interests of keeping it ambiguous.

The citizens of Goa should however know what is Goenkarponn, what are its undercurrents and nuances. I would make two parts of Goenkarponn. The iceberg has one eighth of its surface visible above the sea and the remaining seven eighth of its surface is submerged under water. Similarly, Goenkarponn has its visible and invisible dimensions. One can also term it in computer technology term as hardware and software of Goenkarponn.

Goenkarponn manifesto itself visibly through our mother tongue Konkani, our flora and fauna, our traditional architecture, our religious traditions, communal harmony, Goan festivals, folklore, literature, art and culture. The invisible aspect of Goenkarponn is very important

Saturday - Apr 8, 2017
While tomorrow we all bid our final farewell to Goa's great warrior Adv. Satish Sonak, Goa's greed-infected political class should introspect and reflect as to the manner in which they have continued the degradation of Goa, something that the late Satish Sonak was always very concerned and disturbed about. Our true tribute to this great departed soul, would be to steadfastly
Fears Of A Totalitarian State Are Now Looking Real – by Jose Maria Miranda

Development is a word that always attracts us and rightly so, as it generally makes life simpler and easier for us and often also provides jobs or self-employment, particularly for our youth, who are otherwise constrained to move out in search of livelihood. However, it is imperative

Politicians: The New Chameleons In Town – by Nixon Fernandes
Friday - Apr 7, 2017
The path of secularism that PM Modi talks about vanishes in thin air. Today BJP has the upper hand in many states of India as it has won many state elections and at some places where it could not win still managed to form a govt. like in Goa. The worst fears of the people are coming true, as it has started showing its communal colors. The mantra of BJP “SABKA SAATH SABKA VIKAS” is disappearing

Now the Fotkirro-Dordirro Sardessai is happily looking forward to 2031. This corrupt bunch of Politicians that stole the mandate of the Goemkars can butcher and rape Goa while spreading hatred, beef bans, lynching people and murdering Goemkarponn. On top of that they can generously heap Coal on the Goemkar's Soul. In the meantime, their tamasha and nautanki
